Co-founder

Sudarshan Chaudhary is a biodynamic organic farmer and trainer from Saptari, in Nepal's Madhes Province. Since 2013 he has run Spiral Farm House, a biodynamic organic farm and training site recognised in 2016 among the "100 projects for the Climate" by the French Ministry of Environment.

Over fifteen years he has combined field practice with community development: program coordinator of an integrated poverty alleviation program funded by the Poverty Alleviation Fund Nepal (2010–2014), district facilitator on climate change and disaster risk reduction for the Paprika research project of CNRS France (2012–2013), and trainer in NGO management, leadership and governance for the NGO Federation of Nepal.

An elected leader of indigenous organisations, he served as Secretary General of the Youth Federation of Indigenous Nationalities and sits on the executive board of NGO-FONIN. He represented Nepal's indigenous peoples at COP21 in Paris and COP22 in Marrakesh, and presented biodynamic farming initiatives in Nepal at the 19th IFOAM Organic World Congress.

At Buddha Food System he brings what the model needs most on the ground: farmers' trust, organic practice and the ability to train, organise and measure farms village by village.
